David C. Han, MD

Dr. David Han was elected to the Board of Trustees effective July 2015 as an academic trustee after being nominated by the University Faculty Senate. He earned his B.S. in Biology from Penn State in 1988, his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in 1992, and his M.S. in Health Evaluation Sciences at Penn State in 2005. He has served as Vice Chair of the Department of Surgery at Penn State College of Medicine, and in 2019 was named to the Board of Directors of Penn State Health. A member of the Penn State Faculty Senate, he served on the Special Committee for University Governance from 2012-2013. He also served as President of the Penn State Alumni Association from 2007-2009 and was recognized as a Penn State Alumni Fellow in 2011. Dr. Han continues to serve on the American Medical Association Relative Value Scale Update Committee and is currently the Vice Chair of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education Review Committee for Surgery.
