Mary Lee Schneider was elected to the Board of Trustees effective July 2015 representing business and industry. She earned a B.A. in journalism from Penn State in 1984; an M.S. in Printing and Imaging Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1991; an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management in 1996 and an M.S. in Medical Informatics from Northwestern University in 2012. The former President and Chief Executive Officer of Follett Corporation, which specializes in education-related products, services and technology, she was named a Penn State Alumni Fellow in 2006. She serves on the Board of the Utah-based Larry H. Miller Group of Companies and New York-based Active International. She volunteers on the Board of the Chicago Public Library Foundation and the Leader Council of the Mercy Home for Boys and Girls. She is a member of The Economic Club of Chicago and The Chicago Network.
