Ali Krieger
PROFESSIONAL SOCCER PLAYER, GOTHAM FC
Ali Krieger was elected to the Board of Trustees by the Alumni effective July 1, 2023. She graduated from Penn State in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Advertising and Public Relations. Krieger is a former professional soccer player and two-time world champion. A 2007 Penn State alumna, She has a long history with the University’s women’s soccer team and continues to visit campus to support athletics programming. As a student-athlete, Krieger was three-time Big Ten Academic Honors recipient and a captain and co-captain of the Penn State women’s soccer team. She was named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and was the only Nittany Lion named an All-American at two different positions. Krieger was a member of the U.S. women’s national team and has won two World Cup championships. She has represented the United States on the women’s soccer team at the Olympics and serves as an Athlete Ally Ambassador promoting LGBTQI+ equality. Krieger formerly played for New York City’s Gotham FC.
