Carrie Rowe

Acting Secretary, Department of Education

An ex officio member of the Board of Trustees, Carrie Rowe was appointed in February, 2025 to serve as acting secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Previously she served as deputy secretary for the Office of Elementary and Secondary Education (OESE). She holds a B.S. Education from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, an M.S. from Robert Morris University, and an Ed.D. from the University of Pittsburgh.
