Matthew J. McGloin

Commissioner, Lackawanna County

Matthew McGloin was elected to the Board of Trustees by the Alumni effective July 1, 2024. Mr. McGloin currently serves as a Lackawanna County Commissioner and is the Chair of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport Joint Board of Management, as well as a board member of the Lackawanna County Opioid Fund Settlement Committee, the Lackawanna County Prison Board, and the Agency for Community Empowerment. He founded The Matt McGloin Foundation which was started in 2016. Before his career in public service, Matthew had a seven-year career in the NFL and XFL, retiring in 2020. He earned his B.A. degree in Journalism from the College of Communications at Penn State University in 2012.
