An ex officio member of the Board of Trustees, Pedro Rivera was appointed in January 2015 to serve as secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Education. From 2008-2015, he served as superintendent of The School District of Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He earned a B.S. in Secondary Education with a concentration in Spanish from Penn State in 1996 and an M.S in Education Administration from Cheyney University in 2001.
